Description
This is a limited color abstract study of a girl with a white horse. Much of the canvas is largely just that - canvas. It is comprised predominantly of drawing with oil in a limited palette using raw umber, ultramarine blue and cadmium yellow. Particular attention was paid to the composition of the work coming in from the left side of the canvas with a sweep of the brush, leading to the hand and arm which crawls up the right side of the girl and back into the center of her body near the horse's head. There is a lead in line from the part of the horse's mane at the top of the canvas - all leading to the center of the girl - a composition that is circular in design. Very fun to do. Very dramatic.
